This project aims to create a garden office that ask for water, with the help of moisture sensors and an Arduino we know the approximate level of moisture in the plants. When a plant needs water, it changes the animation of the LED corresponding to that specific plant.

The relationship between nature and technology is what motivated us to create this piece, and also, the experience of having a better communication with our plants.

Last Saturday I attended a conference about science, physics and human civilizations. The first part of the talk was about concepts like fractals and singularity. I was really inspired about the idea of an infinite system that is formed by pieces that contain new systems themselves.

The concept of this weekly diagram is the creation of an infinite world formed by a set of geometric shapes. When the camera gets closer to the window of the world (a black squared hole) you will realize that a new world lives inside, but you where just to far away to notice it. The compositions are never repeated, this application will be able to create all compositions possible as long as we leave the computer on forever…

bRUNA is a musician on the record label spa.RK. Together with Todojunto we developed a VJ/visual set for bRUNA’s 2010 Sónar performance that consisted of two pieces; a light table controlled by an Arduino and a software developed with openFrameworks and a projection of videos and a live camera feed mixed with a midi controller using the Cinder framework. To do this we built the electronics for the light table and developed the OSC implementation for the Cinder framework.

Here you can download the source code of the Weekly Diagram Week 23 – Fleas Typeface. Bear in mind that you will need to download the great TweenMax library to make it work.

Enjoy!

Aer has been collaborating (doing what we do best) closely with different teams in Nokia since early 2008 on numerous projects of varying characteristics. Most of the work has been done for Nokia Design in the Helsinki and London offices. Unfortunately, we are not at liberty to display any of the work due to their confidential nature.
