aer studio - Human Computer Symmetry

Activa't was an exhibit organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya, CCRTV (Corporación Catalana de Radio y Televisión) along with other public institutions. It took place in Palau Robert in Barcelona from the 30th of May to the 31st of August of 2007.

The purpose of the exhibit was to offer insight into the technological architecture that makes it possible to offer universal multimedia access to audiovisual services and content of reference to the masses.

This project was done in colaboration with Lunatus and La Mosca for various applications in the "Mundo Conectado" room of the exhibit. This room used the SAM (Servicio Audiovisual Metereología) system to generate meterological information for various medias like TV, radio, internet, telephone, and mobile phones. In this project Aer designed and programmed 4 interfaces, 1 being interactive: tactile screen to select cities with a projection of the output information, mobile phone simulation and a newspaper simulation.

We are developing the live visuals for the The Sound of Lucrecia's concerts. In collaboration with our hermano Ricardo Duque from Todojunto.

For the Mapping Festival in Switzerland we collaborated with Giovanni Civitenga to create a digital visualization that responds to the sound manipulation. Fast and furious.

Domotic is a musician from Paris, France of the record label Active Suspension. Ask for Domotic was a project done in collaboration with Steph Thirion (trsp.net). The production of the site was in large part manual work involving tracing frames taken from video, cutting out the frames with scissors, lots of scanning, and the recording of analog sound effects made with the mouth.
The making of this project was an enriching experience. We are happy with the results and made some good friends along the way.

ArtFutura is the festival of Digital Culture and Creativity of reference in Spain, has explored the most interesting projects and ideas that have come up on the international panorama of new media, interactive design, videogames and digital animation.

Aer visual studio developed the concept, design and programming for several corporate items for the festival.

Aer was invited along with four other studios from Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia to propose a 50cm x 70cm poster design with the theme, "feelings", for the Observatori 2007 festival. Observatori is an annual contemporary art and music festival held in Valencia, Spain that attracts international artists and musicians of an independant nature.

Our proposal was inspired by an illustration from a 1885 medical book by L.W. Yaggy & James J. West. In both color proposals, the magenta and orange colors were to be flourescent spot colors.
